The Hamilton Tiger-Cats have officially signed American quarterback Harrison Frost, the team has announced. 3DownNation reported last week that the two sides were negotiating a contract.

The 27-year-old most recently played for the St. Louis Battlehawks of the United Football League (UFL). He went 2-1 as a starter, completing 53.3 percent of his passes for 719 yards, seven touchdowns, and six interceptions.

The six-foot-one, 194-pound passer dressed for 17 regular-season games with the Tiger-Cats in 2024 and 2025 but saw limited action, throwing for 95 yards and one touchdown. He signed a contract extension with the team in February but was released days later so he could join the Battlehawks.

The native of Kennesaw, Ga. recently appeared on 3DownNation’s list of quarterbacks the Tiger-Cats may pursue following a possible season-ending injury to Bo Levi Mitchell. He is the second player from the list to sign alongside Jarret Doege, who dressed as the team’s third-stringer in Saskatchewan last week.

Frost played his last two collegiate seasons at the University of West Georgia, where he threw for 6,730 yards, 50 touchdowns, and 18 interceptions over 22 games. He previously attended Mercer University.

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats (2-3) will host the Toronto Argonauts (2-3) at Hamilton Stadium on Saturday, July 18 with kickoff scheduled for 6:30 p.m. EDT. The Argonauts are coming off a 30-21 loss to the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, while the Tiger-Cats lost 38-7 against the Saskatchewan Roughriders.

The weather forecast in Hamilton calls for a high of 28 degrees and a 40 chance of rain. The game will be broadcast on TSN in Canada and CFL+ internationally. Radio listeners can tune in on TSN 1050 in Toronto or the Ticats Audio Network in Hamilton.
