The Hamilton Tiger-Cats are in negotiations to bring back American quarterback Harrison Frost, his agent confirmed to 3DownNation on Wednesday. James Larsen was first to report the news.
The six-foot-one, 194-pound passer recently played for the St. Louis Battlehawks of the United Football League. He completed 53.3 percent of his passes for 719 yards, seven touchdowns, and six interceptions, going 2-1 as a starter.
The native of Kennesaw, Ga. dressed for 17 regular-season games with the Tiger-Cats in 2024 and 2025 but saw limited action, throwing for 95 yards and one touchdown. He signed a contract extension with the team in February but was released days later so he could join the Battlehawks.

On Tuesday, Frost appeared on 3DownNation’s list of quarterbacks the Tiger-Cats may pursue following a possible season-ending injury to Bo Levi Mitchell. At the time, the publication was told his exclusive rights belonged to the UFL. That has since changed, as he’s free to come to the CFL.
The 27-year-old played his last two collegiate seasons at the University of West Georgia, where he threw for 6,730 yards, 50 touchdowns, and 18 interceptions over 22 games. He previously attended Mercer University.
The Tiger-Cats signed veteran quarterback Jarret Doege on Wednesday. He’s expected to fill a depth role behind Jake Dolegala, who will start against the Saskatchewan Roughriders on Sunday, and Tre Ford.
