The Montreal Alouettes have placed Canadian offensive lineman Justin Lawrence on the six-game injured list. The move appeared on the CFL’s transactions wire on Monday.

The 30-year-old suffered a lower-body injury against the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in Week 1 and did not return to the game. He was replaced at centre by veteran Cyrille Hogan-Saindon. According to the team’s official injury report, Lawrence is dealing with an ankle injury.

The native of Spruce Grove, Alta. was originally a fifth-round pick in the 2018 CFL Draft by the Calgary Stampeders. He spent three seasons with the team before signing with the Toronto Argonauts as a free-agent in 2022, then the Alouettes in 2023.
