Ottawa Redblacks release two

The Ottawa Redblacks have released American running back Elijah Collins and American defensive lineman Isaiah Mack, the team announced on Wednesday.

Collins played one regular-season game this year, rushing twice for eight yards and making three receptions for 11 yards. He has spent most of 2026 on the team’s practice roster.

The 26-year-old native of Detroit, Mich. was a collegiate standout at Michigan State University, where he was named third-team All-Big Ten as a freshman. He finished his collegiate career at Oklahoma State University.

Mack made one start for Ottawa in the team’s recent 26-23 loss to the Toronto Argonauts, though he didn’t record any statistics.

The six-foot-one, 320-pound defender has previously been a member of the Tennessee Titans, New England Patriots, Denver Broncos, Pittsburgh Steelers, Baltimore Ravens, Seattle Seahawks, New York Jets, Washington Commanders, and Miami Dolphins. He played 25 career NFL regular-season games, making 17 total tackles, three tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, and one fumble recovery.

The Ottawa Redblacks (0-13) will host the Calgary Stampeders (6-8) on Saturday, September 26 with kickoff scheduled for 3:00 p.m. EDT. The two teams met at McMahon Stadium last week, where Rene Paredes kicked a 62-yard game-winning walk-off field goal.

The game will be broadcast on TSN, RDS2, CTV, and Crave in Canada, and CFL+ internationally. Radio listeners can tune-in on 770 CHQR in Calgary or TSN 1200 in Ottawa.
