Montreal Alouettes bring back Charleston Rambo

The Montreal Alouettes have signed American receiver Charleston Rambo, the team announced on Tuesday.

The six-foot-one, 185-pound target made 54 receptions for 585 yards and three touchdowns in 17 regular-season games last year. He also tallied four catches for 50 yards in the Grey Cup.

“We’ve just added a solid receiver to our roster,” said general manager Danny Maciocia in a statement.

“We know what he is capable of doing on the field, and he will join an already very talented group. Rambo knows our system, our players and our coaches, so his addition will be a very smooth one. We’re excited to have him back with us.”

The 27-year-old became a free agent in February but did not sign a contract. He was 3DownNation’s No. 11-ranked free-agent receiver.

The native of Cedar Hill, Texas caught 61 passes for 808 yards and five touchdowns with the Alouettes in 2024, which was his rookie CFL season.

Rambo played collegiately at the University of Oklahoma and the University of Miami, registering 155 catches for 2,352 yards and 16 touchdowns. He has also spent time with the Carolina Panthers, Philadelphia Eagles, and in the XFL.
