The Saskatchewan Roughriders have signed Canadian receiver Tommy Nield, who was recently released by the Toronto Argonauts.

The six-foot-three, 203-pound native of Guelph, Ont. recorded 21 catches for 201 yards and one touchdown over 11 regular-season games in 2024, making two starts at field-side wide receiver.

The 25-year-old was originally a fourth-round pick in the 2021 CFL Draft. He has since played 41 regular-season games with the Argonauts and made 63 catches for 776 yards and two touchdowns, helping the team win two Grey Cups.

Nield played collegiately at McMaster University where he caught 102 passes for 1,618 yards and 10 touchdowns.
