The Saskatchewan Roughriders have signed receiver Kyran Moore to a one-year contract extension through 2022, according to TSN’s Farhan Lalji.

The 25-year-old made 64 receptions for 585 yards and three touchdowns in 2021 over eleven games at slotback. He missed the last three games of the season due to a knee injury but still led the Riders in catches and receiving yardage.

The native of Bessemer, Ala. has played three seasons with the Green and White, making 174 receptions for 2,056 yards and 10 touchdowns. He has also been a prolific returner when given the opportunity to play on special teams, bringing back 54 punts for 630 yards and two touchdowns.

Lalji reported that Moore’s extension includes $120,000 in hard money after reportedly making $112,000 in 2021.

The five-foot-ten, 165-pound receiver was a versatile star at Austin Peay State University in Tennessee, recording 231 rushing yards, 526 receiving yards, and seven offensive touchdowns as a senior in 2017.

Saskatchewan lost Canadian receiver Brayden Lenius to the Atlanta Falcons earlier this week, leaving a hole in the club’s receiving corps. Duke Williams and Shaq Evans remain unsigned for 2022, while Canadian targets Mitchell Picton, Justin McInnis, and Jake Harty are currently slated to reach free agency as well.
