Makai Polk returns for Toronto Argonauts against Winnipeg

The Toronto Argonauts will have Makai Polk back in the lineup when they visit the Winnipeg Blue Bombers on Friday night. The team released its official depth chart on Thursday morning.

The six-foot-three, 197-pound target missed Toronto’s last six games due to a foot injury. Over eight regular-season games to start the year, he caught 37 passes for 571 yards and six touchdowns.

The 25-year-old is in his third season with the Double Blue. Over 32 career regular-season CFL games, he has made 128 receptions for 1,951 yards and 13 scores.

Polk will start at boundary slotback, pushing standout rookie Tyler Kahmann to field-side slotback. Dymere Miller, who started last week, has been moved to the reserve roster.

The Argonauts have also made a change at field-side cornerback, as Tarvarus McFadden has been placed on the six-game injured list due to a hand injury.

The six-foot-two, 198-pound defender has tallied 30 defensive tackles, seven pass knockdowns, one fumble recovery, and three interceptions this season, one of which helped seal last week’s win over Edmonton.

Louis-Philippe Gauthier is listed as the starter in his place. The Université de Montréal product was a third-round pick in the 2026 CFL Draft. This will be his first professional start.

The six-foot-one, 198-pound defender was named an RSEQ all-star last season, and won the forty-yard dash at the 2026 CFL Combine with a time of 4.50 seconds.

Canadian receiver Nolan Ulm has returned from a foot injury and will dress in a depth role, while American running back Samuel Hicks and American defensive back Dathan Hickey have also been added to the active roster.

In corresponding moves, Canadian receiver Tristan Ready and American running back Qualan Jones have been placed on the practice roster.

The Toronto Argonauts (8-6) will visit the Winnipeg Blue Bombers (7-6) on Friday, September 25 with kickoff scheduled for 8:00 p.m. EDT. The Blue Bombers were on bye last week, while the Argonauts upset the Edmonton Elks by a score of 24-19.

The game will be broadcast on TSN and RDS in Canada, CBS Sports Network in the United States, and CFL+ internationally. Radio listeners can tune-in on TSN 1050 in Toronto or 680 CJOB in Winnipeg.
