The B.C. Lions have signed American defensive lineman Tomasi Laulile to the practice roster, the team announced on Monday.
The six-foot-three, 288-pound defender had a stint on the practice roster with the Calgary Stampeders earlier this year, though he didn’t see any regular-season action, and was released earlier this month.
The native of Riverside, Calif. made nine starts with the Lions in 2025 and recorded 10 defensive tackles, one tackle for loss, one sack, and one forced fumble.
The 31-year-old has previously been a member of the Indianapolis Colts, New Orleans Saints, San Francisco 49ers, Denver Broncos, and several spring league teams. He never played a regular-season NFL game.
Laulile played 33 collegiate games at BYU, where he recorded 47 total tackles, 11 tackles for loss, six sacks, two fumble recoveries, and one interception.
The B.C. Lions (10-8) will host the Saskatchewan Roughriders (10-8) for the West Semi-Final at BC Place Stadium on Saturday, October 31 with kickoff scheduled for 4:30 p.m. ET. The teams met three times during the regular-season, with Saskatchewan winning the matchup in Regina, and B.C. winning both games in Vancouver.
The game will be broadcast on TSN and RDS in Canada and CFL+ internationally. Radio listeners can tune-in on 620 CKRM in Regina and 730 CKNW (English) or Sher-E-Punjab Radio AM 600 (Punjabi) in Vancouver.
