Canadian defensive lineman Nuer Gatkuoth performed at Wake Forest University’s recent pro day and posted solid testing results.

The six-foot-three, 239-pound defender ran a 4.92-second forty-yard dash, though he was timed as fast as 4.80 by at least one scout. He also recorded a 4.62-second shuttle, 7.26-second three-cone drill, 17 reps of 225 pounds on the bench press, a 31-inch vertical jump, and a nine-foot, ten-inch broad jump.

These are official testing results that were obtained by 3DownNation through sourcing.

Relative to the defensive lineman at the 2026 CFL Combine, Gatkuoth would have finished first in the three-cone drill, third in the shuttle and vertical jump, tied for fourth in the vertical jump, fifth in the forty-yard dash, and sixth in the bench press.

The native of Edmonton, Alta. made 39 total tackles, 8.5 tackles for loss, six sacks, and one forced fumble over 12 games with the Demon Deacons in 2025. Pro Football Focus credited Gatkuoth with 21 quarterback hurries on the year.

The 23-year-old previously played at Colorado State University, where he made 68 total tackles, 10.5 tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, three pass knockdowns, two forced fumbles, and one interception over 17 games.

Gatkuoth is the eighth-ranked prospect in the 2026 CFL Draft according to the league’s scouting bureau and has been projected as a first-round pick by 3DownNation.

Located in Winston-Salem, N.C., Wake Forest competes in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) of the NCAA Division I Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS). The school’s alumni includes Luiji Vilain, a native of Ottawa, Ont. who is currently a free agent after NFL stints with the Minnesota Vikings, Carolina Panthers, Cleveland Browns, and Dallas Cowboys.

The 2026 CFL Draft is scheduled for Tuesday, April 28 at 7:00 p.m. EDT.
