The coaching staff for the 2026 CFL Combine in Edmonton, Alta. has been unveiled.
Dominic Picard, the offensive line coach for the Toronto Argonauts, will serve as the offensive coordinator. The 43-year-old is entering his third season with the Argonauts having previously served as their running backs coach.
The native of Sainte-Foy, Que. played 10 seasons along the offensive line in the CFL as a member of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, Argonauts, and Saskatchewan Roughriders. He was named All-East Division with Toronto in 2011 and won the Grey Cup with Saskatchewan in 2013. He won another Grey Cup with the Argonauts as a coach in 2024.
Casey Creehan, the defensive line coach for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, will serve as the defensive coordinator. The longtime assistant coach has previously had stints with the Calgary Stampeders, Montreal Alouettes, Blue Bombers, Tiger-Cats, Argonauts, and Edmonton Elks.
The rest of the coaching staff will feature Josh Donnelly at quarterbacks coach, Ucambre Williams at running backs coach, Kevin Bourgoin at receivers coach, Mike Gibson at offensive line coach, Jake Thomas at defensive line coach, Danny Nesbitt at linebackers coach, and Noel Thorpe at defensive backs coach.
Donnelly is an offensive assistant with the Roughriders, Williams is the offensive line coach with the Stampeders, Bourgoin is the receivers coach and passing game coordinator with the B.C. Lions, Gibson is the offensive line coach with the Ottawa Redblacks, Thomas is the defensive line coach with the Blue Bombers, Nesbitt is a defensive quality control coach with the Edmonton Elks, and Thorpe is the defensive coordinator and defensive backs coach of the Alouettes.
This year’s CFL Combine will begin with athletic testing at the Commonwealth Fieldhouse on Friday, March 27. It will then include three on-field practice sessions at Foote Field — two on Saturday, March 28, and one on Sunday, March 29.
