The Canadian Junior Football League (CJFL) and the Prairie Football Conference (PFC) have unveiled the schedule for the 2026 season.
The first weekend of action will start when the Calgary Colts visit the Edmonton Huskies on Saturday, Aug. 8. at the J.P. Bowl. On Sunday, Aug. 9, the Regina Thunder will visit the Edmonton Wildcats at Emerald Hills Park and the Saskatoon Hilltops will visit the Winnipeg Rifles at Maple Grove Park.
The nine-week PFC regular season will be broken into two four-game slates separated by a bye week in early September. The PFC Semi-Finals will occur on Sunday, Oct. 11 followed by the PFC Final on Sunday, Oct. 18.
The winner of the PFC Final will play against the winner of the Ontario Football Conference (OFC) on Sunday, Oct. 25 for a spot in the Canadian Bowl, which will be hosted in British Columbia on Saturday, Nov. 7.
The Hilltops defeated the Thunder by a score of 30-27 in last year’s PFC Final when Isaiah Vallderruten caught the game-winning touchdown in overtime from Griffin Sander. Saskatoon went on to win the Canadian Bowl with a 21-18 victory over the Okanagan Sun.
The Thunder finished atop the PFC standings in 2025 at 7-1, followed by the Hilltops at 6-2, Rifles at 4-4, Huskies at 3-5, and Wildcats and Colts at 2-6.
