The Saskatchewan Roughriders squandered a promising 4-1 start to finish the year at the bottom of the West Division and out of postseason contention with a 6-12 record.
While it appears changes are imminent at the quarterback position, the Riders are standing pat with head coach Craig Dickenson and general manager Jeremy O’Day returning for 2023. It will be interesting to see how keeping the front office intact will impact the way in which Saskatchewan navigates its free agent list.
Below is every player who is currently slated to reach free agency for the Riders in February 2023.

A number of players finished the season on the practice roster, including offensive linemen Diego Alatorre Montoya, Andrew Lauderdale, Riley Schick, and T.J. Storment, defensive lineman Reece McCormick, linebacker Tommy Bringi, and kicker Henry Nell. As such, they are currently free agents.
The team has already brought back quarterback Levi Lewis and linebacker Alvin Jones Jr., who finished the season on the practice roster before signing futures contracts.
Editor’s note: this article originally states that Micah Teitz was a pending free agent, though he is actually under contract for the 2023 season.
