Bombers place Ian Wild, Tristan Okpalaugo on six-game injured list

Winnipeg has placed two key defensive players on the six-game injured list.

Defensive end Tristan Okpalaugo (upper body) and linebacker Ian Wild (arm) have been put on long-term injured reserve. Those are two critical pieces to the Bombers defence.

The 27-year-old pass rusher signed with Winnipeg in February. In two games with the Bombers this season, Okpalaugo has seven tackles and one sack. He has 24 sacks in 38 career CFL games.

And since joining Winnipeg in 2013, Wild has played in 49 games making 224 tackles, 46 special teams tackles, seven sacks, seven forced fumbles, scored two defensive touchdowns and recorded one interception.
