Eastern regional combine sees five prospects move on to national event

The national CFL combine in Regina had five new prospects added after they impressed scouts at the Eastern regional in Montreal on Friday.

1) Anthony Gosselin, RB, University of Sherbrooke

Bench: 28 reps

40: 4.85 seconds

Vertical: 29.5 inches

Broad: 9 feet, 4 3/4 inches

Shuttle: 4.33 seconds

3-cone: 7.31 seconds

2) Malcolm Carter, REC, Ottawa Sooners

Bench: 5 reps

40: 4.64 seconds

Vertical: 40 inches

Broad: 10 feet, 5 inches

Shuttle: 4.17 seconds

3-cone: 7.20 seconds

3) Mathieu Dupuis, DL, University of Montreal

Bench: 31 reps

40: 5.27 seconds

Vertical: 25 inches

Broad: 8 feet, 2 inches

Shuttle: 4.59 seconds

3-cone: 7.60 seconds

4) Alexandre Chevrier, LB, University of Sherbrooke

Bench: 17 reps

Those players earned invites to the national event from a group of 43.

Last year University of Montreal defensive back Maiko Zepeda made it through from the Eastern regional to the national combine. He ended up being selected in the seventh round, 56th overall by the Montreal Alouettes.
