Ottawa Redblacks sign former Alouettes defender Kori Roberson, three others

The Ottawa Redblacks have signed American defensive lineman Kori Roberson, the team announced on Monday.

The six-foot-four, 310-pound defender played eight regular-season games with the Montreal Alouettes over the last two years, recording nine defensive tackles and one pass knockdown. He was released by the team near the end of June.

The 25-year-old played collegiately at the University of Oklahoma and Southern Methodist University. Over 53 games, he made 82 total tackles, 13 tackles for loss, 5.5 sacks, five pass knockdowns, and two interceptions.

The Redblacks have also signed American defensive linemen Amani Bledsoe and Isaiah Mack, and American defensive back Kahzir Brown.

Bledsoe recently had a stint on the practice roster with the B.C. Lions, though he didn’t see any regular-season action.

The six-foot-five, 295-pound defender played 14 regular-season games with the Cincinnati Bengals in 2020, making five starts. He tallied 17 total tackles and two pass knockdowns with the team.

Bledsoe spent the following season with the Tennessee Titans, recording one tackle and one pass knockdown over five regular-season games.

The native of Kenner, La. spent the 2022 season on the practice roster with the Atlanta Falcons, finishing his NFL career with almost $1.3 million in earnings. He has since played for the Arlington Renegades, Birmingham Stallions, and Orlando Storm.

Mack has extensive NFL experience with the Tennessee Titans, New England Patriots, Denver Broncos, Pittsburgh Steelers, Baltimore Ravens, Seattle Seahawks, New York Jets, Washington Commanders, and Miami Dolphins.

The six-foot-one, 320-pound defender played 25 career NFL regular-season games, making 17 total tackles, three tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, and one fumble recovery.

As per Spotrac, the native of Tunnel Hill, Ga. earned a little over $1.7 million during his NFL career.

Brown finished his collegiate career at Florida Atlantic University, where he made 44 total tackles, two tackles for loss, eight knockdowns, and two interceptions in 12 games for the Owls last season.

The native of Trenton, N.J. has previously been a member of the Green Bay Packers and Alouettes, though he’s yet to record a statistic at the professional level.
