The Montreal Alouettes have removed franchise quarterback Cody Fajardo from the six-game injured list. He will practice on Tuesday.

The 32-year-old native of Brea, Calif. started Montreal’s first six regular season games, completing 77.5 percent of his passes for 1,636 yards, 10 touchdowns, and four interceptions. He also ran the ball 24 times for 142 yards and one score.

The six-foot-two, 223-pound passer led the club to a 5-0 start to the season but was injured early during the club’s 37-18 loss to the Toronto Argonauts in Week 6, injuring his hamstring while running out of bounds.

Caleb Evans started for Montreal this past week against the Saskatchewan Roughriders but struggled, completing nine-of-17 pass attempts for 91 yards. He was replaced by Davis Alexander at halftime, who completed 15-of-18 pass attempts for 178 yards and two touchdowns to lead the team to a 20-16 victory.

The Montreal Alouettes (6-1) will visit the Hamilton Tiger-Cats (2-5) on Friday, Aug. 2 with kickoff slated for 7:30 p.m. EDT.
