Montreal Alouettes’ defensive back Marc-Antoine Dequoy has been named the CFL’s top performer for Week 8 by Pro Football Focus (PFF) with a grade of 87.5.

The 29-year-old native of Île Bizard, Que. made three defensive tackles in Montreal’s 20-16 win over the Saskatchewan Roughriders, earning a grade of 89.1 on 38 pass coverage snaps. The reigning CFL all-star has made 15 defensive tackles, one interception, and one forced fumble over six regular season games in 2024.

Alouettes’ quarterback Davis Alexander was the highest-graded offensive player of the week with a score of 87.1. The third-year CFL passer out of Portland State University completed 15-of-18 pass attempts for 178 yards and two touchdown passes in the second half, powering his team to a come-from-behind victory.

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats had the highest-graded offensive line of the week, earning a group score of 69.5. Left guard Brandon Revenberg was the highest-graded individual player (75.7) followed by rookie left tackle Brendan Bordner (71.1) and veteran right guard Coulter Woodmansey (69.4).

The CFL partnered with PFF for the first time ahead of the 2023 season. The American company uses game footage to review every player on the field and grades their individual performances on a scale from zero to 100.

The league unveils the top-graded players from PFF each week. Offensive and defensive players must play a minimum of 25 snaps to be eligible and special teams players must play at least 10. Ties are broken by the number of snaps played.
