The Montreal Alouettes have signed American offensive tackle Jazston Turnetine.

The six-foot-seven, 342-pound blacker went unselected in the 2023 NFL Draft and attended rookie minicamp with the Atlanta Falcons and Jacksonville Jaguars, though he didn’t sign a contract with either club.

The native of Stockbridge, Ga. finished his collegiate career at Florida State where he started eight games in 2022. He was a member of the South Carolina Gamecocks the previous two years, appearing in 18 games and making 10 starts at left tackle.

Turnetine originally started his collegiate career at Hutchinson Community College (NJCAA) where he earned second-team All-America honours during his second year with the program.

The Alouettes will open the 2024 season on June 6 when they visit the Winnipeg Blue Bombers at Princess Auto Stadium for a Grey Cup rematch.
