The McGill Redbirds have unveiled new uniforms for the 2026 season.

The colour scheme has remained the same, save for the removal of black accents on the shoulder and around the numbers. The ‘McGill’ wordmark on the front of the uniform has also been reduced in size.

A dual-stripe has been added to the pants to match the redesigned shoulder stripes. A McGill logo has also been added to the front right section of the pants.

The Redbirds unveiled a new logo last year, which paid homage to the branding first worn by McGill’s student-athletes in 1898.

“We’re proud to reintroduce a symbol that connects today’s Redbirds and Martlets to more than a century of McGill Athletics history,” said McGill executive director of athletics and recreation Geoffrey Phillips in a statement at the time. “This isn’t just a logo. It’s a celebration of identity, community, and tradition.”

The players featured in the images are Eloa Latendresse-Regimbald (No. 5) and Ambroise Duplessis (No. 7).

Latendresse-Regimbald became a star at quarterback in recent years, though he’s going to play receiver this season. The 24-year-old made the conversion during the lead-up to the 2026 CFL Draft, when he was selected by the Edmonton Elks.

Ambroise Duplessis, a Montreal native, made nine total tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, and 2.5 sacks over three games last season.

McGill went 2-6 during regular-season play in the RSEQ in 2025 before losing in the semifinal round to the Laval Rouge et Or by a score of 47-25.
