The Saskatchewan Roughriders will have Rolan Milligan Jr. back in the lineup when they host the Edmonton Elks on Thursday night. The team released its official depth chart on Wednesday morning.
The 31-year-old suffered a shoulder injury in Week 2 when he delivered a blow to B.C. Lions receiver Justin McInnis. He walked off the field under his own power, though he later returned from the locker room with a wrap on his shoulder and his arm in a sling.
The two-time All-CFL selection was a full participant in practice this week and was officially deemed questionable on the team’s most recent injury report. He is now set to go and will start at his usual spot at boundary halfback.

Milligan Jr. has made 217 defensive tackles, 35 special teams tackles, 14 interceptions, two sacks, one forced fumble, and one touchdown over 54 career regular-season CFL games with the Roughriders. He was named the league’s Most Outstanding Defensive Player in 2024.
Jonathan Edouard, who started at boundary halfback last week, has been moved to a depth role. Jaxon Ford will start a fifth consecutive game at safety, as Nelson Lokombo remains on the one-game injured list with an ankle injury.
Mathew Sexton, who returned seven punts for 217 yards and one touchdown over two appearances with Saskatchewan, has been moved to the six-game injured list with an ankle injury. It remains unclear who will replace him as the team’s returner, as veteran James Letcher Jr. remains on the six-game injured list.
Saskatchewan and Edmonton are currently the two top teams in the West Division standings. This will mark the first of three regular-season meetings between the clubs in 2026.
This will be also Saskatchewan’s first game since the car crash that killed team captain Jayden Dalke and Regina resident Bhishma Rajyaguru. Both individuals will be honoured before kickoff.
