Hamilton Tiger-Cats sign UCLA blocker Reuben Unije

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats have signed American offensive lineman Reuben Unije.

The six-foot-six, 315-pound blocker finished his collegiate career at UCLA, where he played 16 games and made 14 starts at offensive tackle.

The Atlanta native previously played at the University of Houston, where he played 26 games and made 19 starts. He primarily started at right tackle.

The Tiger-Cats suffered multiple injuries along the offensive line in their recent win over the Toronto Argonauts. As of the publishing of this article, the team has yet to provide an update on the status of Trevor Reid or Quinton Barrow.

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats (3-3) will visit the Montreal Alouettes (5-1) at Percival Molson Stadium on Sunday, July 26 with kickoff scheduled for 7:00 p.m. EDT. The Tiger-Cats narrowly beat the Toronto Argonauts this past week, while the Alouettes completed their home-and-home sweep of the Calgary Stampeders.

The weather forecast in Montreal calls for a high of 26 degrees and a 20 percent chance of rain.
