Official: 2027 CFL Combine to be held in Calgary

The 2027 CFL Combine is officially heading to Calgary, the league confirmed on Wednesday. The news was initially reported late last month.

The talent showcase will take place at Shouldice Athletic Park and McMahon Stadium from March 11 to 13.

This will be the second major CFL event in Calgary over a four-month span, as the city is set to play host to the 113th Grey Cup on Sunday, November 15.

“Calgary has been tremendous in our preparations for this year’s Grey Cup – from the Stampeders organization through to fan engagement and the vibe across Alberta’s entire football community,” said Greg Dick, the CFL’s chief football operations officer and head of Grey Cup and Events.

“Grey Cup to our professional athletes is like CFL Combine to our Canadian prospects. We can’t wait to deliver a once-in-a-lifetime experience to our athletes in the Class of 2027.”

On March 11, prospects, general managers, and head coaches will be made available to the media.

That evening, there will be a Coach of the Year celebration at which the Annis Stukus Award, Ted Goveia Football Operations Award, and the Hugh Campbell Distinguished Leadership Award will be presented to their respective winners.

On March 12, prospects will take part in the forty-yard dash, three-cone drill, short shuttle, broad and vertical jumps, and the bench press.

On March 13, prospects will wear pads for individual and team-based practices and drills.

The event will include exclusive live streams of testing sessions and practices on YouTube.

The 2027 CFL Combine will be preceded by the CFL Invitational Combine in Waterloo, Ont. on February 26.
