Toronto Argonauts move first-round pick Jeremiah Ojo to six-game injured list

The Toronto Argonauts have moved Canadian defensive lineman Jeremiah Ojo to the six-game injured list.

The move appeared on the CFL’s transactions page on Tuesday. According to the team’s official report, it’s a bicep injury.

The 25-year-old played the team’s first five regular-season games in a depth role, recording five defensive tackles, four special teams tackles, and one sack.

The Montreal native was Toronto’s first-round pick in the 2025 CFL Draft. He played 15 regular-season games as a rookie, making 11 special teams tackles.

The six-foot-two, 246-pound defender played collegiately at the Université de Montréal, where he was twice named a first-team U Sports All-Canadian and won one Vanier Cup. He notched 54 total tackles, 17 tackles for loss, 14.5 sacks, five forced fumbles, two pass knockdowns, and one interception over 24 games with the Carabins.

The Toronto Argonauts (2-3) will visit the Hamilton Tiger-Cats (2-3) at Hamilton Stadium on Saturday, July 18 with kickoff scheduled for 6:30 p.m. EDT. The Argonauts are coming off a 30-21 loss to the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, while the Tiger-Cats lost 38-7 against the Saskatchewan Roughriders.

The weather forecast in Hamilton calls for a high of 28 degrees and a 40 chance of rain. The game will be broadcast on TSN in Canada and CFL+ internationally. Radio listeners can tune in on TSN 1050 in Toronto or the Ticats Audio Network in Hamilton.
