The Hamilton Tiger-Cats have signed Canadian receiver Chris Osei-Kusi.

The 25-year-old pass catcher has suited up in 22 games for the Edmonton Elks over the past two seasons. He played 17 games in 2022, hauling in his first career pass and finishing with six receptions for 79 yards.

The six-foot-two, 200-pound receiver was originally selected by the Montreal Alouettes in the fourth round of the 2019 CFL Draft and attended rookie mini-camp with the Cleveland Browns. However, the Brampton, Ont. native returned to school in order to earn a law degree at the University of Windsor, making 34 catches for 560 yards and two touchdowns in his lone season with the Lancers.

Osei-Kusi spent the first four seasons of his collegiate career at Queen’s University, earning first-team OUA all-star honours in 2017. In 28 career games for the Gaels, he amassed 126 receptions for 1,862 yards and eight touchdowns while rushing for 178 yards and a score. He also added one touchdown as a punt returner.
