The Hamilton Tiger-Cats have signed Canadian offensive lineman Brandon Revenberg to a contract extension, the team announced on Tuesday. He was a pending free agent.
According to 3DownNation reporter John Hodge, it’s a one-year deal for the 2027 season.
The six-foot-four, 300-pound blocker has been a fixture on the team’s offensive line since he was taken in the first round of the 2016 CFL Draft. He has played 173 career regular-season CFL games, earning five All-CFL selections and six All-East Division selections.
The native of Essex, Ont. has started all 17 regular-season games for the Tiger-Cats at left guard this season. Hamilton ranks tied for sixth in the league this season with 34 sacks allowed.
The 33-year-old is the longest-tenured player on Hamilton’s roster.
The Hamilton Tiger-Cats (5-12) will host the Ottawa Redblacks (1-16) at Hamilton Stadium on Saturday, October 24 with kickoff scheduled for 3:00 p.m. ET. The Redblacks are coming off a dramatic win over the Toronto Argonauts that ended their 22-game losing skid, while the Tiger-Cats were on bye this past week.
The game will be broadcast on TSN in Canada and CFL+ internationally. Radio listeners can tune-in on TSN 1200 in Ottawa and the Ticats Audio Network in Hamilton.
