Comprehensive guide to Canadians and former CFL players in NFL training camps in 2026

NFL training camps are getting underway across the United States, which means it’s time to take stock of the Canadians and former CFL players competing for roster spots.

All 47 players are listed in alphabetical order by last name. Please note that ‘N’ denotes Nationals (ie. Canadians), ‘A’ denotes Americans, and ‘G’ denotes Globals.

This is the tenth annual edition of this list on 3DownNation.

OL Isaiah Adams (N) — Arizona Cardinals

CFL rights holder: None

The 26-year-old was recently assessed multiple firearm-related charges in his home province of Ontario. He has since reported to training camp, though it remains unclear if that will affect his status with the Cardinals. The six-foot-four, 316-pound blocker joined the team as a third-round pick in the 2024 NFL Draft out of the University of Illinois. Adams has since played 32 regular-season games and made 16 starts, 11 of which came in 2025.

DB DeAundre Alford (A) — Buffalo Bills

CFL rights holder: None

The former All-CFL cornerback signed a three-year contract worth upwards of $21 million as a free agent in March. The 28-year-old spent the previous four years with the Atlanta Falcons, recording 216 total tackles, 10 tackles for loss, 37 pass knockdowns, four interceptions, 3.5 sacks, three fumble recoveries, and two forced fumbles. Alford won a Grey Cup with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in 2021.

REC Elic Ayomanor (N) — Tennessee Titans

CFL rights holder: None

The native of Medicine Hat, Alta., was a fourth-round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft and had a productive rookie season, making 41 catches for 515 yards and four touchdowns. The 23-year-old was a collegiate standout at Stanford University, where he caught 125 passes for 1,844 yards and 12 touchdowns over two seasons. Ayomanor won the Jon Cornish Trophy in 2023 and was named second-team All-Atlantic Coast Conference in 2024.

DL Wesley Bailey (N) — Los Angeles Rams

CFL rights holder: Edmonton Elks

The six-foot-five, 260-pound defender signed with the Rams after going unselected in the 2026 NFL Draft on a contract that reportedly includes $35,000 guaranteed. The Ottawa native split his collegiate career between Rutgers University and the University of Louisville, recording 110 total tackles, 22 tackles for loss, 15.5 sacks, six pass knockdowns, and four fumble recoveries over 48 games.

OL Theo Benedet (N) — Chicago Bears

CFL rights holder: B.C. Lions

The Toronto native, who was raised primarily in Vancouver, dressed for 16 regular-season games with the Bears in 2025 and made eight starts. This was a significant improvement for Benedet, who spent his entire rookie year on Chicago’s practice roster after signing with the team as an undrafted free agent. The six-foot-seven, 305-pound blocker was a standout at the University of British Columbia, twice winning the J. P. Metras Trophy.

OL Matthew Bergeron (N) — Atlanta Falcons

CFL rights holder: None

The native of Victoriaville, Que., has made 49 starts with the Falcons since being selected in the second round of the 2023 NFL Draft, playing 3,146 offensive snaps and recording one fumble recovery. Atlanta had one of the best offensive lines in the NFL in 2025, allowing 26 sacks and averaging 125.8 rushing yards per game. Heading into a contract year, the 2026 season will be a critical one for Bergeron.

RB Chase Brown (N) — Cincinnati Bengals

CFL rights holder: Montreal Alouettes

The native of London, Ont., became Cincinnati’s full-time starter at running back last season and made the most of the opportunity, rushing 232 times for 1,019 yards, catching 69 passes for 437 yards, and scoring 11 touchdowns. The 26-year-old has now rushed for 2,188 yards, made 137 receptions for 953 yards, and scored 23 touchdowns since being selected in the fifth round of the 2023 NFL Draft.

DL Elliott Brown (A) — Arizona Cardinals

CFL rights holder: None

The six-foot-four, 225-pound defender spent the entire 2025 season on Arizona’s practice roster and will be looking to make the active roster this time around. Brown was a standout with the Edmonton Elks in 2024, when he recorded 44 defensive tackles, eight sacks, and one forced fumble to be named All-West Division. The 28-year-old was previously a collegiate standout at the University of Virginia.

DB Sydney Brown (N) — Atlanta Falcons

CFL rights holder: Toronto Argonauts

The 26-year-old was traded to the Falcons in March after three seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles. Brown made 86 total tackles, one tackle for loss, five pass knockdowns, two interceptions, two forced fumbles, and one touchdown over 42 regular-season games with Philadelphia, though he suffered a torn ACL late in his rookie season. The native of London, Ont., was a third-round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft. He is the twin brother of Bengals running back Chase Brown.

DB Robert Carter Jr. (A) — Indianapolis Colts

CFL rights holder: B.C. Lions

The five-foot-ten, 175-pound defender was a standout with B.C. in 2025, making 51 defensive tackles, five interceptions, one forced fumble, and one defensive touchdown to earn the team’s nomination for Most Outstanding Rookie. The 23-year-old signed a three-year contract with Indianapolis in January after working out for the Colts and Denver Broncos. This is his first career NFL opportunity.

OL Kevin Cline (N) — Miami Dolphins

CFL rights holder: Winnipeg Blue Bombers

The six-foot-seven, 320-pound blocker was born in Boca Raton, Fla., but qualified for Canadian citizenship through his mother, granting him entry to the 2026 CFL Draft class. Cline played six collegiate seasons at Boston College, where he made 14 starts over 44 games. The 25-year-old was the team’s full-time starter at right tackle in 2025, allowing 22 quarterback pressures and five sacks, according to Pro Football Focus.

P Nik Constantinou (G) — Cleveland Browns

CFL rights holder: Hamilton Tiger-Cats

The 26-year-old was a standout over two seasons with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, punting 192 times for a gross average of 47.6 yards. Constantinou worked out for the Browns and New Orleans Saints following the completion of the 2025 season, but ultimately signed a one-year contract with the former. The native of Melbourne, Australia was twice named All-SEC during his collegiate career at Texas A&M.

DL Neville Gallimore (N) — Chicago Bears

CFL rights holder: Saskatchewan Roughriders

The 29-year-old signed a two-year, $12 million contract with Chicago after setting all-new career-highs with the Indianapolis Colts in 2025, including 38 total tackles, four tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks, and three pass knockdowns. The six-foot-two, 315-pound defender was originally a third-round pick of the Dallas Cowboys in the 2020 NFL Draft and has since dressed for 83 regular-season games with 26 starts.

OL Julian Good-Jones (A) — Washington Commanders

CFL rights holder: None

The native of Cedar Rapids, Ia., has been with the Commanders since 2023 and has spent most of that time on the practice roster, save for one meaningless regular-season game he played in his first year with the squad. Good-Jones played 22 regular-season games during the 2021 and 2022 seasons with the Calgary Stampeders before departing for the NFL.

OL Niklas Henning (N) — Las Vegas Raiders

CFL rights holder: Toronto Argonauts

The native of Milton, Ont., turned heads at the CFL Combine in Edmonton, where he ran a 4.90-second 40-yard dash at six-foot-six and 298 pounds. Henning was selected with the second overall pick in the 2026 CFL Draft by the Boatmen but ended up signing a contract with the Raiders after impressing at the team’s rookie minicamp in May. The Queen’s University product was a second-team U Sports All-Canadian in 2025.

OL Kyle Hergel (N) — Chicago Bears

CFL rights holder: Saskatchewan Roughriders

The Toronto native joined Chicago’s practice roster in November and evidently impressed, as he was signed to a reserve/futures contract for 2026. The 26-year-old originally joined the New Orleans Saints as an undrafted free agent in 2024 and dressed for eight regular-season games with the team as a rookie. Hergel finished his collegiate career at Boston College in 2023, earning an All-Conference honourable mention.

DL Michael Hoecht (N) — Buffalo Bills

CFL rights holder: Ottawa Redblacks

The 27-year-old native of Oakville, Ont., signed a three-year, $21 million contract with the Bills last offseason, though he had a disastrous year as he was suspended six games for violating the league’s performance-enhancing drug policy, then suffered a torn Achilles. Over five seasons with the Rams and Bills, Hoecht has made 185 total tackles, 16 tackles for loss, 15.5 sacks, four pass knockdowns, and three forced fumbles.

DB Jevon Holland (N) — New York Giants

CFL rights holder: None

The native of Coquitlam, B.C. signed a three-year, $45.3 million deal with the Giants last offseason and made 14 starts in his first year with the team, recording 63 total tackles, five pass knockdowns, and one interception. Holland was originally a second-round pick in the 2021 NFL Draft by the Miami Dolphins. Over 74 career games, he has made 364 total tackles, nine tackles for loss, 30 pass knockdowns, six interceptions, five sacks, five forced fumbles, and four fumble recoveries.

RB Chuba Hubbard (N) — Carolina Panthers

CFL rights holder: Calgary Stampeders

The 27-year-old native of Sherwood Park, Alta., signed a four-year, $33.2 million contract extension in Carolina last offseason but had a down year, making only five starts and rushing 134 times for 511 yards and one touchdown. The former fourth-round draft pick has now rushed for 3,686 yards, caught 151 passes for 972 yards, and scored 28 touchdowns over 79 regular-season games with the Panthers.

OL Alaric Jackson (N) — Los Angeles Rams

CFL rights holder: B.C. Lions

The native of Windsor, Ont., who was raised primarily in Detroit, Mich., has started 51 regular-season games over his five years with the Rams and ranks No. 22 among the NFL’s highest-paid offensive tackles. Jackson was suspended two games in 2024 for violating the league’s personal conduct policy and could be facing further supplemental discipline after he was accused of domestic battery in June.

TE Theo Johnson (N) — New York Giants

CFL rights holder: B.C. Lions

The 24-year-old native of Winnipeg, Man., who was raised in Windsor, Ont., has made 26 starts for the Giants since being taken in the fourth round of the 2024 NFL Draft. Johnson has caught 74 passes for 859 yards and six touchdowns over that span, though it appears he’ll be relegated to backup duty following New York’s addition of Isaiah Likely in free agency.

TE Rohan Jones (N) — Los Angeles Rams

CFL rights holder: Montreal Alouettes

The six-foot-two, 238-pounder signed with the Rams after going unselected in the 2026 NFL Draft. Though slightly undersized, the Montreal native was productive through each of his collegiate stops at the University of Maine, Montana State University, and the University of Arkansas, making 80 receptions for 1,352 yards, returning 18 kicks for 395 yards, and scoring 21 touchdowns.

TE Nikola Kalinic (N) — Chicago Bears

CFL rights holder: None

The 29-year-old spent most of the 2025 season on Chicago’s practice roster, though he dressed for two regular-season games and recorded three total tackles. The six-foot-four, 248-pound product of York University has been a member of the Indianapolis Colts, Los Angeles Rams, Atlanta Falcons, and Bears since a two-year stint with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, dressing for 11 regular-season NFL games.

TE Dalton Kincaid (N) — Buffalo Bills

CFL rights holder: None

The former first-round draft pick has made 24 starts over three seasons with the Bills, making 156 receptions for 1,692 yards and nine touchdowns. The 26-year-old earned his first Pro Bowl selection in 2025 despite reportedly playing the entire season with a torn PCL. Kincaid was born and raised in Las Vegas, Nev., but is a dual citizen of Canada.

DL Rene Konga (N) — Miami Dolphins

CFL rights holder: Ottawa Redblacks

The Ottawa native went unselected in the 2026 NFL Draft but signed with the Dolphins as a priority free agent on a contract that includes a reported $277,500 in guaranteed money. The six-foot-four, 298-pound defender was a standout at the University of Louisville, where he made 49 total tackles, eight tackles for loss, four sacks, and six pass knockdowns, earning a second-team All-ACC selection in 2025.

DB Deane Leonard (N) — Los Angeles Chargers

CFL rights holder: Hamilton Tiger-Cats

The Calgary native signed a one-year, $2 million contract extension with Los Angeles in March to return for a fifth season with the team. The 26-year-old has played 46 career regular-season games since being selected in the seventh round of the 2022 NFL Draft, recording 46 total tackles, two tackles for loss, six pass knockdowns, and two forced fumbles.

LB Jesse Luketa (N) — New England Patriots

CFL rights holder: Ottawa Redblacks

The former seventh-round draft pick had a stint on the practice roster with the Rams last year but didn’t see any regular-season action. The 27-year-old spent the first three seasons of his NFL career with the Arizona Cardinals and made 35 total tackles, seven tackles for loss, three sacks, and one forced fumble over 31 regular-season games. Luketa was born in Edmonton and raised primarily in Ottawa.

OL Giovanni Manu (N) — Detroit Lions

CFL rights holder: Winnipeg Blue Bombers

The six-foot-eight, 352-pound blocker was a fourth-round pick in the 2024 NFL Draft and made his regular-season debut last year, dressing for four games. He also made one start at left tackle, though he allowed two sacks and drew a mixed review from head coach Dan Campbell. The native of Tonga spent his adolescence in Pitt Meadows, B.C., and played collegiately at the University of British Columbia.

TE Tanner McLachlan (N) — San Francisco 49ers

CFL rights holder: Calgary Stampeders

The 27-year-old native of Lethbridge, Alta., was a sixth-round pick in the 2024 NFL Draft and played two regular-season games as a rookie, seeing the field for 22 total snaps. The six-foot-five, 244-pounder spent parts of last season with the Los Angeles Chargers, though he did not see any regular-season action. McLachlan signed with the 49ers on Saturday.

REC Malick Meiga (N) — Carolina Panthers

CFL rights holder: Hamilton Tiger-Cats

The Montreal native signed with the Panthers after going unselected in the 2026 NFL Draft, earning a reported $15,000 in guaranteed money. The six-foot-three, 205-pound target played 23 games over two collegiate seasons at Coastal Carolina University, recording 26 catches for 326 yards and one touchdown. Meiga ran an official 4.43-second forty-yard dash at his pro day, which raised his NFL stock.

DL Akheem Mesidor (N) — Los Angeles Chargers

CFL rights holder: None

The 25-year-old was the No. 22 overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft and will earn over $20 million in guaranteed money on his rookie deal. The six-foot-three, 265-pound native of Ottawa had a brilliant season at the University of Miami in 2025, recording 63 total tackles, 17.5 tackles for loss, 12.5 sacks, and four forced fumbles over 15 games. He was named first-team All-ACC and a second-team All-American.

REC John Metchie III (N) — Carolina Panthers

CFL rights holder: B.C. Lions

The former second-round NFL draft pick signed a one-year, $1.9 million contract with the Panthers in March. The native of Taiwan, who was raised primarily in Brampton, Ont., has caught 73 passes for 686 yards and three touchdowns over 45 regular-season games with the Houston Texans, Philadelphia Eagles, and New York Jets. Metchie III is the younger brother of Edmonton Elks defensive back Royce Metchie.

REC Dohnte Meyers (A) — Cincinnati Bengals

CFL rights holder: None

The 26-year-old signed a three-year contract with the Bengals in January that includes a reported $10,000 in guaranteed money. The five-foot-ten, 190-pound target made 89 catches for 1,405 yards and nine touchdowns over two seasons with the Saskatchewan Roughriders. Meyers was named All-West Division in 2025 and helped the Roughriders win the 112th Grey Cup.

DL David Onyemata (N) — New York Jets

CFL rights holder: Saskatchewan Roughriders

The 33-year-old signed a one-year, $10.5 million contract with the Jets in March, which will bring his career earnings to over $75 million by the end of the year. The University of Manitoba product has played 154 career NFL regular-season games with the New Orleans Saints and Atlanta Falcons, recording 401 total tackles, 49 tackles for loss, 31 sacks, 10 pass knockdowns, three forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, and one interception.

REC Josh Palmer (N) — Buffalo Bills

CFL rights holder: None

The native of Brampton, Ont., is entering the second year of a three-year, $29 million contract he signed with Buffalo last offseason. The six-foot-one, 210-pound target has made 204 receptions for 2,590 yards and 10 touchdowns over 70 career NFL regular-season games with the Los Angeles Chargers and Bills. Palmer was a third-round pick in the 2021 NFL Draft out of the University of Tennessee.

LB Jose Ramirez (A) — Philadelphia Eagles

CFL rights holder: Hamilton Tiger-Cats

The 27-year-old played three regular-season games with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats last season, recording four defensive tackles and one sack. The six-foot-two, 252-pound defender was released by the team in January to allow him to sign with the Eagles. Ramirez had a previous NFL stint with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2024, during which he played four regular-season games.

OL Albert Reese IV (N) — Carolina Panthers

CFL rights holder: Saskatchewan Roughriders

The six-foot-seven, 330-pound blocker signed with the Panthers after going unselected in the 2026 NFL Draft on a deal that includes a reported $145,000 in guaranteed money. The Edmonton native played 48 collegiate games at Mississippi State University, making 22 starts at right tackle. Reese IV was a sixth-round pick in the 2026 CFL Draft, though he would have been taken much higher if he weren’t under contract in the NFL.

LB Jacob Roberts (A) — Minnesota Vikings

CFL rights holder: None

The 24-year-old rose to stardom with the Calgary Stampeders in 2025, recording 93 defensive tackles, nine special teams tackles, four sacks, and one forced fumble in his first year as a CFL starter. This is the first time the six-foot-one, 233-pound defender has been under contract in the NFL, as he signed with the Stampeders straight from the collegiate ranks at Wake Forest University.

LB Tavius Robinson (N) — Baltimore Ravens

CFL rights holder: Saskatchewan Roughriders

The six-foot-six, 262-pound defender has played 44 regular-season games and made 17 starts since he was selected in the fourth round of the 2023 NFL Draft. The native of Guelph, Ont., has recorded 86 total tackles, nine tackles for loss, nine sacks, two pass knockdowns, and one forced fumble with the Ravens. Robinson is heading into a contract year in Baltimore.

QB Kurtis Rourke (N) — San Francisco 49ers

CFL rights holder: Saskatchewan Roughriders

The native of Oakville, Ont. was selected in the seventh round of the 2025 NFL Draft but missed his entire rookie year after suffering a torn ACL. The six-foot-four, 220-pound passer won the Jon Cornish Trophy during his final collegiate season at Indiana University, where he threw for 2,827 yards, 27 touchdowns, and four interceptions. The 25-year-old is the younger brother of B.C. Lions quarterback Nathan Rourke.

DL Nathan Shepherd (N) — New Orleans Saints

CFL rights holder: None

The six-foot-four, 315-pound defender signed a one-year, $7.1 million contract to return for a fourth season with the Saints. The native of Ajax, Ont., has played 122 career regular-season games with the New York Jets and Saints, recording 238 total tackles, 24 tackles for loss, 14 sacks, and one forced fumble. The former third-round draft pick will have earned over $32 million by the end of the 2026 season.

LB Alex Singleton (N) — Denver Broncos

CFL rights holder: None

The 32-year-old signed a two-year, $15.5 million contract extension in March to remain in Denver. The six-foot-two, 240-pound defender has been one of the NFL’s most productive tacklers in recent history, making 768 total tackles, 25 tackles for loss, 17 pass knockdowns, five sacks, five fumble recoveries, three forced fumbles, and three interceptions over seven seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles and Broncos. Though born in Thousand Oaks, Calif., Singleton also holds Canadian citizenship and was named the CFL’s Most Outstanding Defensive Player in 2017 as a member of the Calgary Stampeders.

DB Benjamin St-Juste (N) — Green Bay Packers

CFL rights holder: Toronto Argonauts

The six-foot-three, 200-pound defender signed a two-year, $10 million contract with Green Bay this offseason. The Montreal native has made 243 total tackles, four tackles for loss, 41 pass knockdowns, four forced fumbles, three sacks, and two interceptions over 70 career regular-season games with the Washington Commanders and Los Angeles Chargers. St-Juste was originally a third-round pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.

DB Qwan’tez Stiggers (A) — New York Jets

CFL rights holder: None

The 24-year-old set all-new career-highs last season when he played 15 regular-season games and made four starts, tallying 27 total tackles, one tackle for loss, three pass knockdowns, and two fumble recoveries. The six-foot, 197-pound defender was named All-East Division and the CFL’s former Most Outstanding Rookie in 2023 as a member of the Toronto Argonauts. He was a fifth-round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, coming directly out of the CFL with no previous college experience.

OL Logan Taylor (N) — Los Angeles Chargers

CFL rights holder: Winnipeg Blue Bombers

The native of Lunenberg, N.S., was taken in the sixth round of the 2026 NFL Draft, becoming just the third Nova Scotian ever to be drafted by an NFL team. The 24-year-old blocker was named second-team All-ACC at Boston College in 2025, where he made eight starts at right guard, three starts at left tackle, and one start at right tackle. He was previously twice named an All-ACC honourable mention.

LB Devin Veresuk (N) — Indianapolis Colts

CFL rights holder: Hamilton Tiger-Cats

The 24-year-old had an excellent season with the Tiger-Cats after being taken with the second overall pick in the 2025 CFL Draft. The native of Windsor, Ont., played 18 regular-season games and made 15 starts at middle linebacker, recording 66 defensive tackles, three special teams tackles, two sacks, two touchdowns, one forced fumble, and one interception. Veresuk was named an OUA all-star at the University of Windsor in 2024.

REC Jared Wayne (N) — Houston Texans

CFL rights holder: Toronto Argonauts

The six-foot-three, 210-pound native of Peterborough, Ont., is back for a fourth season with the Texans after joining the team as an undrafted free agent in 2023. Wayne has dressed for three regular-season games with Houston but has yet to record his first professional catch. The 25-year-old was named second-team All-ACC during his final collegiate season at the University of Pittsburgh.
