The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed the arrest to ESPN reporter Sarah Barshop, saying the charge was for “a person who willfully inflicts corporal injury” against a spouse.

Jackson was reportedly released from custody on a $50,000 bond.

The six-foot-seven, 338-pound blocker was born in Windsor, Ont., though he spent part of his childhood in Detroit, Mich. with his father. He is a dual-citizen of Canada and the United States.

Jackson was a three-time All-Big Ten selection during his collegiate career at the University of Iowa but went unselected in the 2021 NFL Draft. He has since played five seasons with the Rams, making 51 starts over 57 regular-season games. His exclusive CFL rights belong to the B.C. Lions should be ever play in Canada.

The 27-year-old was suspended for two regular-season games in 2024 for violating the NFL’s personal conduct policy.

The reason for the suspension was unclear at the time, though it has since been reported that Jackson was named in a lawsuit alleging he recorded a woman during sex without her consent. No criminal charges were filed in relation to the alleged incident.

According to Spotrac, Jackson has earned $25 million USD playing in the NFL.

None of the allegations against him have been tested in court.
