Canadian NFL player Isaiah Adams charged with firearm offences

Canadian offensive lineman Isaiah Adams is one of four individuals facing criminal charges following an investigation from the Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) guns and gangs unit.

In a press release, the DRPS indicated they recently executed a search warrant at a residence in Pickering, Ont. A loaded firearm with a prohibited overcapacity magazine was located at the residence, as was a replica Uzi. The DRPS determined the former was stolen from the United States.

Allyson Mae Adams, who was taken into custody from the home, was charged with possession of a firearm obtained by crime, possession of a restricted/prohibited firearm with no license, possession of a loaded firearm, and possession of a prohibited device.

On Sunday, Isaiah Adams turned himself into police custody and was charged with the same offences.

Two days earlier, one man and one woman were taken into custody in Ajax, Ont. where three kilograms of fentanyl where found in a search of their vehicle. This seizure is what led police to execute a search warrant at the residence in Pickering.

Jaelin Jared Gamble and Natasha Marie Rotta have both been charged with possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking (fentanyl).

All four suspects were held for a bail hearing, according to the DRPS. None of the charges have been tested in court.

Adams was selected by the Arizona Cardinals in the third round of the 2024 NFL Draft.

The six-foot-four, 315-pound blocker has played 32 regular-season games over two seasons with the team and made 16 starts, including 11 in 2025.

The 26-year-old Ajax native attended the 2024 NFL Combine, where he ran a 5.22-second forty-yard dash, 4.73-second shuttle, and 7.77 three-cone drill. He also leapt a 24.5-inch vertical jump and eight-foot, six-inch broad jump.

Adams played collegiately at Wilfrid Laurier University, Garden City Community College, and the University of Illinois. According to Spotrac, he has earned $3.4 million over two NFL seasons.
