Calgary Stampeders mum on apparent uniform leak

If the CFL accidentally leaked the Calgary Stampeders’ new uniforms this past weekend, the team isn’t admitting it.

The apparent leak occurred on a league social media page advertising its season predictor contest, which allows fans to answer a series of questions for a chance to win a trip for two to the Grey Cup in Calgary.

Jalen Philpot, who made a team-leading 61 receptions for 830 yards and three touchdowns last season, is pictured in the ad in what appears the be Calgary’s new home uniform. The original image shrouded Philpot in shadow, though the version shown above has been digitally brightened to give viewers a clearer look of the image.

A spokesperson for the Stampeders corresponded with 3DownNation on Sunday and did not confirm or deny the image featured the new uniforms, though they specified the team’s timeline for their unveiling remains unchanged.

The team teased a new look earlier this month, releasing a video with close-up shots of what appear to be new home and away uniforms. Though it’s impossible to say for sure, the details in the video appear to match the uniform Philpot is wearing in the advertisement.

The Stampeders most recently changed their uniforms in 2023 with a design that drew influence from the team’s 75th anniversary look, featuring multiple stripes on the shoulder pads.

Based on the apparent leak, the shoulders are now mostly white with two horizontal red stripes. It also appears an outline has been added to player numbers.

It remains unclear when Calgary’s new uniforms will officially be unveiled, though the above image may have spoiled the surprise.

The Stampeders hold the sixth overall pick in the 2026 CFL Draft, which is scheduled for Tuesday, April 28 at 7:00 p.m. EDT. All CFL training camps are scheduled to open on May 10. Calgary will play its first preseason game against the Saskatchewan Roughriders on Monday, May 18 and its first regular-season game against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers on Friday, June 5.

In 2025, Calgary finished third in the West Division standings with an 11-7 record but lost the West Semi-Final to the B.C. Lions.
