Johnny Manziel leaves AAF game with concussion

Johnny Manziel has been knocked out of his second AAF game.

Manziel, now the starting quarterback of the Memphis Express, took a knee to the head moments after throwing an interception against the Orlando Apollos. It would appear as though he’s suffered a concussion.

Manziel laid motionless on the turf after taking the hit. He then struggled to get off the field, looking disoriented as the training staff helped him reach the bench.

Manziel suffered a concussion with the Montreal Alouettes in August, which would make this his second such injury in eight months.

Manziel has recorded five completions on eight attempts in two career AAF games for zero touchdowns and one interception. He has also rushed for 38 yards on five carries.
