Canadian defensive lineman Wesley Bailey has signed an NFL undrafted free agent contract with the Los Angeles Rams, 3DownNation has confirmed.

Bailey transferred to the University of Louisville for the 2025 season. Last year with the Cardinals was his best NCAA season. He registered 39 defensive tackles, seven tackles for loss, and six sacks in 12 games.

The Ottawa native spent five years at Rutgers University from 2020 through 2024. In total, he played 48 NCAA games, including 41 starts, recorded 110 total tackles, 22 tackles for loss, 15.5 sacks, six pass knockdowns, and four fumble recoveries. His first sack in the collegiate ranks came against Ohio State University on Saturday, October 2, 2021, when he took down Kyle McCord in the fourth quarter.

At Louisville’s pro day in March, Bailey ran a 4.69-second 40-yard dash, 4.50-second shuttle, 7.00-second three-cone drill, produced a 35-inch vertical jump, a 10-foot, one-inch broad jump and pumped 225 pounds on the bench press 27 times.

The six-foot-five, 260-pound defender would have ranked as a top defensive end at the 2026 NFL Combine in the bench press, shuttle, and three-cone drill, though few prospects participated in testing. His other results would have been around the middle of the pack.

Bailey played in the Ontario Summer Football League for the Cumberland Panthers and spent his senior high school year at Clearwater Academy International. He suited up in 10 games for the Knights, posting 62 defensive tackles, seven sacks, three forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries and blocked one field goal.

Bailey is the fourth-ranked prospect in the upcoming 2026 CFL Draft, but is expected to fall into the mid-rounds due to his NFL opportunity.

The 2026 CFL Draft is scheduled for Tuesday, April 28, at 7 p.m. ET.
