The Montreal Alouettes have signed Canadian fullback Régis Cibasu to a one-year contract.
The six-foot-three, 232-pounder played six regular-season games with the team in 2024, recording two special teams tackles.
“Régis brings a lot of versatility to our team. He is our Swiss army knife who can play multiple positions,” said general manager Danny Maciocia in a statement. “I have known him for almost ten years, and his work ethic is contagious. We are happy that he is returning to us.”
The 31-year-old native of Montreal, Que., has played 36 career regular-season CFL games and taken snaps at receiver, tight end, and fullback. He has made nine catches for 109 yards and one touchdown.
Cibasu was a third-round pick in the 2018 CFL Draft by the Toronto Argonauts. He played collegiately at the Université de Montréal, winning a Vanier Cup in 2014.
