The Calgary Stampeders have signed Canadian offensive lineman Kyle Saxelid to a contract extension.
The six-foot-eight, 320-pound blocker played five games for the Stampeders in 2024, making three starts at left guard.
The 29-year-old was originally a second-round pick of the Edmonton Elks in the 2019 CFL Draft. He has since played 44 career games with 21 starts as a member of the Elks, Hamilton Tiger-Cats, and Stampeders.
Collegiately, Saxelid played four seasons at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas where he made 39 starts over 48 games. He was born in Elk Grove, Calif. but qualified for Canadian citizenship through his mother, who was born in New Brunswick.
