The Edmonton Elks have agreed to terms with Canadian receiver Tyson Middlemost, sources have confirmed to 3DownNation. The news was first reported by TSN’s Farhan Lalji.

The 27-year-old appeared in 17 games with the Calgary Stampeders last season, catching three passes for 43 yards. The native of Dundas, Ont. also notched nine special teams tackles.

The six-foot-one, 205-pound target has dressed for 46 games over four seasons in Calgary. He has caught eight passes for 87 yards while recording 29 special teams tackles.

Middlemost was selected in the fourth round of the 2020 CFL Draft out of McMaster University. Over 26 collegiate games with the Marauders, he made 83 receptions for 1,032 yards and seven touchdowns.

Pending free agents can negotiate with teams across the league during the current window, which closes on February 9. Players can agree to terms on a contract with a particular team for 2025, however, these deals aren’t legally binding and can’t be finalized or made official until after free agency opens on February 11.
