The B.C. Lions have signed American defensive lineman Marcus Moore to a contract extension through 2026.
The six-foot-one, 280-pound defender played 11 games with the Lions this past season, recording seven defensive tackles and two sacks. He suffered a season-ending ankle injury on Aug. 31 during a 38-12 win over the Ottawa Redblacks.
The native of Pasadena, Calif. first signed with B.C. in 2022 but didn’t see any action that year, exclusively spending time on the practice roster. He played two regular-season games in 2023 and recorded one defensive tackle and one interception.
Moore played collegiately at UCLA and Utah State, earning an All-Mountain West honourable mention in 2020. He recorded 65 total tackles, 13 tackles for loss, and three sacks over 19 games with the Aggies.
