The Toronto Argonauts have signed American receiver Vyncint Smith.
The six-foot-two, 195-pound target was in the NFL for six years as a member of the Houston Texans, New York Jets, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Denver Broncos, and Indianapolis Colts. He played 29 regular-season games with the Texans and Jets with five starts, recording 23 catches for 329 yards, three carries for 52 yards, 12 kick returns for 322 yards, and two total touchdowns.
The 28-year-old, who was born on a U.S. Army base in Germany and raised in South Carolina, has since been a member of the UFL’s DC Defenders, making six catches for 101 yards and one score.
The Limestone University product reportedly ran a 4.38-second forty-yard dash before going unselected in the 2018 NFL Draft.
