The Calgary Stampeders have signed American defensive back Anthony Cook and American defensive lineman Cedrick Lattimore.
Cook dressed for 60 games at the University of Texas where he made 27 starts and recorded 167 total tackles, 10 tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, three forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, and 11 pass knockdowns.
The six-foot, 188-pound native of Waco, Texas was twice named All-Big 12 honourable mention with the Longhorns. He signed with the Kansas City Chiefs after going unselected in the 2023 NFL Draft and made seven tackles over three preseason games, though he didn’t make the team’s final roster.
Lattimore played collegiately at the University of Iowa where he made 81 total tackles, seven tackles for loss, six sacks, one fumble recovery, and one forced fumble. He was named an All-Big Ten honourable mention in 2019.
The six-foot-three, 295-pound native of Detroit, Mi. signed with the Seattle Seahawks after going unselected in the 2020 NFL Draft and played one playoff game with the club, nothing six tackles. He also played for the USFL’s Philadelphia Stars in 2022, making seven tackles over three games.
