The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have re-signed American linebacker Kyrie Wilson and Canadian linebacker Shayne Gauthier to one-year extensions. They were both pending free agents.
Wilson made 28 defensive tackles and one sack over eight regular-season games this past season. The six-foot-one, 227-pound native of Fresno, Calif. has played 51 games over seven seasons with the Blue Bombers, recording 161 defensive tackles, 15 special teams tackles, six sacks, one interception, and one forced fumble.
Gauthier made seven defensive tackles, 14 special teams tackles, and one forced fumble this past season, his eighth with Winnipeg. The Université Laval product has made 56 defensive tackles, 71 special teams tackles, two sacks, and two forced fumbles over 105 career regular-season CFL games.
