Toronto Argonauts’ defensive lineman Ralph Holley worked out for the New Orleans Saints on Tuesday, per sources.

The six-foot-one, 285-pound Holley suited up for 16 regular season games with the Boatmen in 2024 as a rookie, recording 22 defensive tackles, eight sacks — tied for most in the CFL — and one forced fumble. He also played in Toronto’s three postseason games, posting one tackle and one sack in the East Final, en route to a 111th Grey Cup victory.

The 25-year-old signed with the Double Blue on October 22, 2023 after spending two years in the United States Football League with the Philadelphia Stars. He recorded 17 total tackles and one sack while playing spring football.

The West Bloomfield, Mich. native played collegiately at Western Michigan University. He recorded 138 tackles, 45.5 for loss, 20.5 sacks, five pass knockdowns, two forced fumbles and one fumble recovery over 50 games with the Broncos. He was named first-team Mid-American Conference in 2020 and second-team Mid-American Conference in 2021.

At his 2022 NFL pro day, Holley ran 4.99 in the 40-yard dash, 4.67 short shuttle, and 7.53 three-cone drill while recording a 30-inch vertical and eight-foot, 10-inch broad jump. He also bench pressed 225 pounds 24 times.

Holley is currently under contract with the Argonauts for the 2025 CFL season; however, he’s eligible to sign an NFL contract this offseason through the window in all player agreements. He has worked out for the Cleveland Browns, Atlanta Falcons, Tennessee Titans, Cincinnati Bengals, Pittsburgh Steelers, Minnesota Vikings, and Saints.
