The Toronto Argonauts have signed American quarterback Tucker Horn to a futures contract that will see him join the team in 2025.
The six-foot-one, 195-pound passer played five seasons at Trinity University, a Division III school in San Antonio, Tex. Horn was the conference Player of the Year from 2021-2023, finishing his career 710-of-1048 passing for 8,996 yards, 97 touchdowns, and just 17 interceptions in 42 games. He is the school’s all-time leader in completion percentage (66.7%) and QB efficiency rating (167.2) while ranking third in total touchdowns, passing yards, completions, and attempts.
The native of Graham, Tex. was a finalist for the Division III Player of the Year in 2023 after completing 71 percent of his passes and throwing for 3,178 yards with 34 touchdowns and just three interceptions.
The Argonauts (9-7) host the Ottawa Redblacks (8-7-1) on Saturday, October 19 at 3:00 p.m. EDT.
