The CFL playoffs are headed back to Mosaic Stadium for the first time since 2021.
The Saskatchewan Roughriders clinched a home playoff game by virtue of their 39-8 victory over the B.C. Lions on Saturday night. Trevor Harris completed 25-of-30 passes for 271 yards and two touchdowns, while the Rider defence generated six turnovers in the blowout win.
Saskatchewan’s last home postseason contest was on November 28, 2021, when they defeated the Calgary Stampeders 33-30 in overtime. That also marked the franchise’s last playoff win, as they have failed to qualify in each of the last two seasons.
The Riders sit one point back of the Blue Bombers with a game left to play and have a chance to earn a first-round bye with a victory and Winnipeg loss in Week 21. If the Bombers win or Saskatchewan loses, they will welcome the Lions back to Mosaic Stadium on Saturday, November 2 for the West Semi-Final.
Saskatchewan goes on a bye next week before wrapping up the 2024 CFL regular season against the Calgary Stampeders on Saturday, October 26 at 7:00 p.m. EDT.
