The Calgary Stampeders have signed American defensive back Keaton Ellis to their practice roster.
The five-foot-eleven, 190-pound native of State College, Pa. signed with the Tennessee Titans after going unselected in the 2024 NFL Draft. He made six tackles over three preseason games but was cut before the start of the regular season.
The 23-year-old played 56 collegiate games over five seasons at Penn State, making 86 tackles, three tackles for loss, 14 pass knockdowns, four forced fumbles, and two interceptions.
The Stampeders have also suspended American receiver Jesiah Irish, who was added to the practice roster this past week.
Calgary (4-9-1) will visit the B.C. Lions (7-8) on Friday, Oct. 4 with kickoff slated for 10:00 p.m. EDT.
