Saskatchewan Roughriders’ QB Trevor Harris named CFL’s top performer for Week 16 by PFF

Saskatchewan Roughriders’ quarterback Trevor Harris has been named the CFL’s top performer for Week 16 by Pro Football Focus (PFF) with a grade of 92.5. It was the seventh-best game grade awarded by the organization so far this season.

The 38-year-old native of Waldo, Ohio completed 16-of-18 pass attempts for 248 yards and one touchdown to help lead his team to a 37-29 win over the Calgary Stampeders, snapping a seven-game winless streak. He also ran the ball three times for 14 yards and one major score, his second of the season.

Saskatchewan middle linebacker Jameer Thurman was the highest-graded defensive player of the week, earning a score of 79.7. The veteran played 50 defensive snaps and made five tackles and a game-sealing interception to help his team defeat the Stampeders.

The Roughriders had the highest-graded offensive line of the week with a group score of 84.8. Right tackle Trevon Tate recorded the best individual score at 91.7, followed by left tackle Trevor Reid (77.7) and centre Logan Ferland (75.0).

The CFL partnered with PFF for the first time ahead of the 2023 season. The American company uses game footage to review every player on the field and grades their individual performances on a scale from zero to 100.

The league unveils the top-graded players from PFF each week. Offensive and defensive players must play a minimum of 25 snaps to be eligible and special teams players must play at least 10. Ties are broken by the number of snaps played.
