Former CFL player and current TSN analyst Henoc Muamba is on the second season of ‘The Traitors,’ a reality show on CTV with a prize of $100,000.
The show is based on ‘De Verraders,’ a Dutch television show that premiered in 2021. The program pits 22 contestants against each other at a manor in Montreal and places them into one of two groups: ‘Faithful’ or ‘Traitors.’
Contestants are voted out of the course of the program with the ‘Faithful’ looking to eliminate the ‘Traitors’ and the ‘Traitors’ hoping to last until the final episode. If all ‘Traitors’ have been voted out by the finale, the remaining ‘Faithful’ share the grand prize. If a member of the ‘Traitors’ makes it to the end, they take home the money.
Muamba’s season premiered on Monday night and no contestants were eliminated during the debut.
The 35-year-old dressed for 135 career CFL regular season games as a member of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, Saskatchewan Roughriders, Montreal Alouettes, and Toronto Argonauts and recorded 610 defensive tackles, 35 tackles for loss, 78 special teams tackles, 18 pass knockdowns, 14 forced fumbles, 17 sacks, seven interceptions, and three fumble recoveries.
The native of Kinshasa, Zaire, who was raised primarily in Mississauga, Ont., was a two-time CFL all-star, three-time East Division all-star, one-time CFL Most Outstanding Canadian, and won the Grey Cup in 2022 when he was named the game’s Most Valuable Player and Most Valuable Canadian.
