The Ottawa Redblacks have added six players to their practice roster, including former Hamilton Tiger-Cats’ offensive lineman Kendrick Sartor.
The six-foot-seven, 316-pound blocker made six starts at right tackle for the Tiger-Cats last season but was released during training camp earlier this year. The native of Cincinnati, Ohio played five collegiate seasons at Marshall University and made 24 starts before coming to the CFL as a free agent.
The Redblacks have also added receiver Lincoln Victor, offensive lineman Darta Lee, defensive lineman Darius Hodges, linebacker Cam Bright, and defensive back Clay Fields III, all of whom are American.
Victor made 137 catches for 1,401 yards and seven touchdowns over three collegiate seasons at Washington State University, earning a tryout with the New York Giants after going unselected in the 2024 NFL Draft. The five-foot-nine, 177-pound native of Pukalani, Maui originally started his collegiate career at the University of Hawaii.
Lee was in training camp with the Toronto Argonauts earlier this year but was released before the start of the regular season. The six-foot-three, 315-pound blocker from Fresno, Texas spent time with the Memphis Showboats of the USFL and the Arlington Renegades of the XFL after collegiate stints at the University of Illinois, Kilgor College, and the University of Texas at El Paso.
Hodges made 114 total tackles, 34 tackles for loss, 18.5 sacks, four pass knockdowns, three forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery over 46 collegiate games at Tulane University. The six-foot-two, 280-pound native of Montgomery, Ala. attended rookie minicamp with the Seattle Seahawks after going unselected in the 2024 NFL Draft.
Bright was in training camp with the Calgary Stampeders earlier this year but didn’t make the team’s final roster. The six-foot, 222-pound native of Montgomery, Ala. was named All-Pac 12 honourable mention in 2022 after making 60 total tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, one interception, and one pass knockdown at the University of Washington. He signed with the Cleveland Browns after going unselected in the 2023 NFL Draft.
Fields III finished his collegiate career at the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga in 2023, making 49 total tackles, two tackles for loss, one interception, and nine pass breakups. The five-foot-ten, 211-pound native of Franklin, N.J. signed with the Indianapolis Colts after going unselected in the 2024 NFL Draft.
