Veteran linebacker Wynton McManis was a full participant in practice with the Toronto Argonauts on Monday, according to the team’s injury report.

The 29-year-old has missed Toronto’s last six games due to a groin injury. He was a limited participant in practice this past week but didn’t dress for the club’s win over the B.C. Lions.

The six-foot-one, 225-pound native of Memphis, Tenn. made 33 defensive tackles, two special teams tackles, one sack, one interception, and one touchdown over the first seven games of the season for the Argonauts. He was replaced at middle linebacker by Jonathan Jones and Isaac Darkangelo.

McManis is in his sixth CFL season and third with Toronto. He was named a league all-star in both of the last two seasons and helped the Argonauts win the Grey Cup in 2022.

Return specialist Janarion Grant missed practice due to a chest injury on Monday, while starting offensive lineman Isiah Cage (hip) and defensive lineman Jake Ceresna (shoulder) were limited participants. Canadian receiver Dejon Brissett (knee) was a full participant.

The Argonauts (7-6) will host the Hamilton Tiger-Cats (4-9) on Friday, Sept. 20 with kickoff slated for 7:00 p.m. EDT. The Ticats have already secured the season series between the archrivals by virtue of winning the first two matchups earlier this season.
