The Saskatchewan Roughriders have signed a trio of Americans to their practice roster, including defensive end Zion Tupuola-Fetui, receiver Tre Mosley, and offensive lineman David Murray.
Tupuola-Fetui played 60 games over six seasons at the University of Washington (2018-23), amassing 88 total tackles, 19 tackles for loss, 16 sacks and five forced fumbles. The six-foot-four, 260-pound edge rusher was named a third-team All-American in 2020 after collecting 7.5 sacks in four games, but missed the following season with a torn Achilles. He was an honourable mention All-Pac 12 selection in each of his last two seasons and helped the Huskies reach the CFP Playoff National Championship as a senior, but was not signed to an NFL contract after undergoing surgery for a torn labrum.
Mosley played 44 games over five collegiate seasons at Michigan State University (2019-2023), collecting 126 receptions for 1,464 career passing yards and 10 touchdowns. He recorded a catch in 25 straight games to end his career and was twice named to the watch list for the Wuerffel Trophy, the premier award for community service in college football. The six-foot-one, 200-pound target most recently attended training camp with the Cincinnati Bengals.
Murray split his collegiate career between UCLA (2018-19) and the University of Oklahoma (2020-22), suiting up in 54 total collegiate games primarily at right guard. The six-foot-two, 301-pound blocker was named a Freshman All-American in 2018 as a member of the Bruins and was a two-time honourable mention All-Big 12 selection as a Sooner. He later spent traing camp with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2023.
The Saskatchewan Roughriders (5-7-1) will visit the Calgary Stampeders (4-8-1) on Friday, September 20 at 9:30 p.m. EDT.
