The Toronto Argonauts will get two massive pieces of their offence back this week after brief absences.
Veteran receiver DaVaris Daniels will return to the lineup after being a late scratch last week with a groin injury. The 31-year-old has had a quiet 2024 season, posting 30 receptions for 323 yards and two touchdowns in 10 games, but was named an East Division all-star in 2023 after recording his first career 1,000-yard season. He currently sits second behind only Eugene Lewis among active receivers with 5,902 career yards.
Also returning is left guard Ryan Hunter, who missed last week for undisclosed personal reasons. The 29-year-old has started every game for Argos this season and was named a CFL all-star in 2023. He won a Grey Cup with the team after joining the organization in 2022, as well as a Super Bowl as a member of the Kansas City Chiefs in 2019.
In order to make room for the two veterans, American defensive back Mark Milton and Canadian offensive lineman John Bosse have been returned to the practice squad.
The Toronto Argonauts (6-6) will visit the B.C. Lions (7-6) on Friday, September 13 at 10:00 p.m. EDT.
