Calgary Stampeders’ DL Mike Rose named CFL’s top performer for Week 14 by PFF

Calgary Stampeders’ defensive lineman Mike Rose has been named the CFL’s top performer for Week 14 by Pro Football Focus (PFF) with a grade of 91.5.

The three-time CFL all-star played 45 defensive snaps in his team’s 37-16 loss to the Edmonton Elks and recorded his first career interception, which he returned for an 83-yard touchdown. He had a grade of 85.7 on 24 pass rushing snaps.

B.C. Lions’ fullback David Mackie was the highest-graded offensive player of the week with a score of 89.4. He carried the ball four times for 33 yards and a touchdown in his team’s 37-23 win over the Montreal Alouettes and caught a pass for nine yards.

The Edmonton Elks had the highest-graded offensive line of the week with a group grade of 69.8. Left tackle Martez Ivey has the best individual score (78.2) followed by centre Mark Korte (75.2) and right tackle Brett Boyko (71.3).

The CFL partnered with PFF for the first time ahead of the 2023 season. The American company uses game footage to review every player on the field and grades their individual performances on a scale from zero to 100.

The league unveils the top-graded players from PFF each week. Offensive and defensive players must play a minimum of 25 snaps to be eligible and special teams players must play at least 10. Ties are broken by the number of snaps played.
